Thank you for your help in making the 2021 Lite Up a Life campaign in support of the Brummitt Feasby ALS House a SUCCESS!!
Every year, from November 1st to December 31st, the ALS Society of Manitoba runs the Lite Up a Life campaign to raise funds for special projects related to the Brummit Feasby ALS House.
Brummit Feasby ALS House has now been in operation for twenty years and is the only home of its kind in North America. The house offers a home for people living with ALS/MND and has been specifically outfitted to accommodate both short-term and long-term residency.
As it is with any structure or dwelling, pro-active improvements and repairs are constantly needed. In an effort to keep the house viable, the goal of this year’s project was to update the windows and appliances. The minimum amount required in order to accomplish this task was $25,000.
We are pleased to announce that through your tremendous generosity, we have met this year’s goal. In fact, we have even exceeded it with funds raised currently at $26,355 with some donations still trickling in.
Thank you once more to everyone who gave, both of their time and financially – you are a blessing to all of us! With Christmas melodies dancing in the background, the residents smiled and waved to us through the windows and we could see their smiles and the joy in their hearts as the trees came alive with beautiful twinkling lights.
A special thank you to Lacoste Garden Centre for donating the Christmas tree, pots and sand. Without these, this event could not proceed.
Stay tuned for our upcoming events!
